The sixth edition of the International Scientific Conference on Computer Methods in Engineering CMES'21 was held on November 25-27, 2021. After the last year's online conference, this year’s event was held on-site at the Zamojska Academy in Zamość.
The project team received theoretical and practical VLOS and BVLOS training (special category of NSTS-06) to perform flights in unmanned aircraft of a mass of up to 25 kg both in and beyond visual line of sight. These types of training are necessary to successfully respond to significant changes in the unmanned aviation law and be capable of performing flights using the test platform.
The 3rd Aviation Fair AVIATION EXPO was held on 11-12 September 2021 in Kielce (Poland). The event was accompanied by a Technology and Law for Aviation conference devoted to aviation technologies and law as well as various aspects of the aviation industry. Apart from companies presenting their aircraft, there were also companies offering aviation-related equipment and accessories.
The largest defense exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe was held on 7-10 September, 2021 during the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce (Poland). The event was also attended by the project team to gain the latest knowledge of aerospace technologies in the defense industry. The International Defence Industry Exhibition was attended by 185 exhibitors from 15 countries and approximately 4,000 visitors.
The 8th edition of the MetroAeroSpace conference was held on 23-25 June, 2021 as a videoconference due to the prevailing pandemic conditions. MetroAeroSpace is an international opportunity to meet experts in aerospace metrology who bring together national and international institutions and academics to discuss the latest state of the art issues in measurement instrumentation and industrial research.
The project team held a three-day training by MESco in December 2020 because new computational tools and updates to the existing software for rotating machinery modeling has been launched onto the market. The training used the ANSYS Fluent software which is one of the pioneering CFD packages and is currently one of the most globally used CFD softwares.
The International Conference of Computational Methods in Engineering Science - CMES 2020 was held on 24-25 November 2020. The CMES conference is aimed at the development of engineering science, numerical and experimental techniques, exchange of experiences and good practices among representatives of scientific communities and industry. Two project works were presented at the conference.
On 19th-20th September 2020 at Targi Kielce exhibition center took place an event called AVIATION EXPO. During the event there were numerous lectures, panel discussions and interviews with authorities from aviation companies (including FlyTronic, Spartaqs, Cervi Robotics, UAVS Poland) and institutions such as the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency and the Polish Air Force Institute of Technology.
On 9th of March 2020, one of the project contractors, Paweł Karpiński, gave a presentation titled "Hybrid unmanned vertical take-off and landing aircraft with autorotation flight capability".
