The 31st International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) was held in Kielce, Poland, from September 5-8, 2023. The exhibition was the third largest defense fair in Europe. It provided an opportunity to learn about the latest products and services from the global defense industry.
The 10th edition of the scientific conference "2023 IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for AeroSpace" was held on June 19-21, 2023 in Milan, Italy. The contractors presented two works dedicated to their project.
The "InnoWings 2023 - International Exhibition of Inventions and Technology" was held on June 15-16, 2023 in Lublin. Among the presented inventions were solutions from various sectors of science and technology like chemistry, food production, material technology, IT technology or aviation.
The next edition of the AERO aerospace exhibition was held on April 19-22, 2023. The event took place in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The expo was also attended by the project's contractors to expand their knowledge in the field of aviation technology in the civil and defense industries and to promote the ongoing project.
The 11th Night at the Aviation Institute was held on 7 October, 2022 in Warsaw. The event was hosted and organized by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation. This is the largest night educational event in Poland which was visited by nearly 58,000 visitors. The visitors had the opportunity to see various aircraft designs, meet engineers, pilots and people involved in aviation, and visit the laboratories of the Institute.
The 19th Inter-university Engineering Aeronautical Workshop was held on 22-26 September, 2022 at the Academic Glider Center of Rzeszów University of Technology in Bezmiechowa Górna. The topic of this year's edition was gyrocopters and hovercraft. As part of the event, the project contractors presented the progress of the project “Hybrid unmanned vertical take-off and landing aircraft with autorotation flight capability”.
The jubilee 30th Defense Industry Exhibition was held on 6-9 September, 2022 in Kielce. This is the third largest defense exhibition in Europe, just after the ones in Paris and London. This event of the defense sector makes you discover the offer of the world’s largest defense industry companies.
On 27-29 July, 2022, our project team participated in a training session on the operation and configuration of the Orange Cube flight controller (Pixhawk 2.1). The training was a response to a dynamic development of this type of products, so the project contractors can now do their tasks more efficiently and take full advantage of the new functions offered by the autopilot.
The 2022 IEEE INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON Metrology for AeroSpace was held on 27-29 June, 2022. This year, the event took place in Pisa, Italy. The main purpose of our participation in the workshop was to present two research papers: "Deformation measurement system for the fuselage of an unmanned aircraft vehicle" and "Temperature Measurement of the Selected UAV Electronic Components". The former paper was awarded the Best Paper Award for Aerospace and Electronic Systems.
On the 24th of June 2022, the XVII National Rotorcraft Forum was held at the headquarters of the Łukasiewicz Research Network - the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw (Poland). The event was co-organized by the Air Force Institute of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, and the Lublin University of Technology. The conference allowed participants to present research results and discuss the problems and challenges in aerospace engineering related to rotorcraft. During the conference, participants representing engineers and scientists from countries such as Poland, Slovakia, and Canada presented their works. In addition to contemporary problems in rotorcraft engineering, historical topics related to helicopter and gyrocopter structures were also discussed.
